BHS Student Information

Year of the Eagle

This year BHS is working closely with the other schools in the district to promote Eagle Pride.  During the “Year of the Eagle”  staff and students are encouraged to wear
maroon and white every Friday.  Staff and students are working to create a student section at home football games and other sporting events. BCS is encouraging  businesses throughout the district to get involved and show their Eagle Pride also. We hope to see you at a future sporting event wearing our colors and singing “Loyal and True”.

Attendance
On-time, daily attendance is mandatory for students to benefit
to the fullest from the instructional program. The district
recognizes, however, that there are situations that dictate a
student’s absence. Therefore, in accordance with district
guidelines, absences may be excused for the following reasons:

1) Doctor’s appointment
2) Death in the family
3) Religious commitment
4) Extenuating circumstances, as agreed to by the
administration prior to the absence
5) Approved school activities

Please call the BHS attendance line at 966-1303 and leave a message if your son/daughter is going to be out for more than three consecutive school days . You will also be required to provide the appropriate documentation upon return for the absences to be excused. For all other absences (class period, running late, single day, etc…) please provide the appropriate documentation to the office upon return. It is not necessary to leave a message if your child is going to be out less than three days in a row.
